Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a qualified Cook to join our kitchen team. You will read orders, prepare dishes to standard recipes, and maintain quality and sanitation in a fast-paced open kitchen.

You must have at least three years of cooking experience, be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and obtain required licenses. Collaborative, attentive to guest needs, and able to follow SOPs are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of three(3) years of experience as a cook.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
• Other physical requirements of the position include but are necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become familiar with all company room outlets and answer general questions about the property.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond with urgency.
• Read food orders and prepare items according to established menus and recipes.
• Prepare all food items to ensure consistency and quality for guests.
• Maintain sanitation and safe handling practices per Health Department regulations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and dining room staff to coordinate orders.
