Job summary

Calibre Candidates Ltd. is seeking an entrepreneurial Commercial Insurance Account Executive to build and lead a specialist schemes operation across defined sectors in the UK. You will research markets, grow the client base, and develop partnerships with sector bodies while shaping a growing team.

The role offers remote or hybrid working, a strong base salary, and a generous benefits package backed by a leading UK insurance group. Previous specialist schemes experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• A successful track record in commercial insurance sales, with substantial experience as an Account Executive or in a similar Specialist Commercial Broker role.
• A clear specialist schemes focus, with approximately 80% of your current or recent book concentrated in a defined sector.
• Strong market knowledge and an understanding of the risks and insurance requirements within your specialism.
• Proven ability to win business, develop relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
• An entrepreneurial approach, commercial judgement and the ambition to build and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a specialist insurance scheme within your chosen sector.
• Research your market, assess its potential and develop a plan for sustainable growth.
• Win new business through direct sales and a strong understanding of your clients' insurance needs.
• Develop valuable relationships with sector partners, trade bodies and associations.
• Build and lead your own team as the scheme grows.
• Take ownership of your scheme's development, supported by the resources and expertise of an established insurance business.
