Job summary

BRDG Studios is seeking a hands-on Lead Spatial Designer to join our team in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This role blends physical architecture, fabrication and creative technology to catalyze new business and concept development for our Tier-1 client roster.

The Lead will split time between interpreting briefs into Build Intent Briefs (70%) and leading original creative pitches (30%), while supervising a small design team to deliver production-ready materials and 3D visuals.

Job description

BRDG Studios is seeking a hands-on Lead Spatial Designer to join us as a key member of our

team. Operating at the boundary of physical architecture, custom fabrication and creative

technology, this role catalyzes new business and conceptual development across our Tier-1

client roster.

This job is located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

The Lead Spatial Designer carries a dual operational mandate:

1. Takedowns & Build Intent Briefs (70%): Pitchbacks to client-supplied designs

deconstructed into defined build approaches and specific drawing sets (i.e. floor plans,

2. Original Creative & Pitch Leadership (30%): Conceptualizing and winning original

pitches from scratch.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Brief Interpretation, Design Systems & Takedown Architecture
   • Design Intent Translation: Deconstruct client briefs and design decks into actionable Build Intent Briefs that set distinct visual and functional benchmarks. and lighting guidelines to prepare for Engineering Hand-Off.
   • Client Sign-off Decks: Deliver comprehensive, client-approved design packages that set clear parameters for engineering, shop drawings and custom fabrication.
2. Pitch Leadership & Original Creative
   • Pitchback: Lead creative and generate client-facing pitch decks, visual treatments and
   • Visualization: Utilize 3D modeling, rendering and AI generative tools to effectively
   • Work Plan Alignment: Collaborate with PM’s to establish initial creative scopes and resource plans.
3. Design Team Production Engine
   • Task to Talent: Assemble and manage a 1-2 person agile design team (e.g., 2D/Graphic Designers, Production Visualizers, freelance management) to scale and respond to briefs efficiently.

Core Competencies & Deliverables

• Individual Hands-On Output: Must personally produce production-grade deliverables, including client presentation decks, 3D spatial models/renders, AI concepts and storyboard flows.
• Design Sensibility & Aesthetic Vision: A demonstrated passion for design and a refined aesthetic taste that furthers the studio's creative voice.
• Experiential & Retail Expertise: Proven track record in physical-digital, retail, trade exhibits, or brand activations with case studies demonstrating successful client outcomes.
• Commercial Guardrails: Deep understanding of project budgeting, material costs and labor allocations to align with studio revenue growth and margin targets.
