Zusammenfassung

EOI Space is seeking a Principal VehicleSoftware Engineer to own the end-to-end vehicle software solution for VLEO mission hardware. You will influence payload processor and bus flight software while coordinating firmware and hardware integration to ensure a safe, high-performance spacecraft.

The role demands leadership of a small team, deep hands-on coding, and collaboration across flight, ground, and DevOps disciplines, in a fast-paced, space-grade environment in Colorado.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with scheduler-driven, resource-constrained flight software development (NASA Core Flight Systems)
• Exposure to embedded device development
• Experience deploying software to intermittently connected edge compute environments
• OS level programming, containerized cluster management, embedded systems development, hardware acceleration, and tradeoffs between features and footprint

Aufgaben

• Provide technical leadership to a small team
• Coordinate, code, and lead implementation of cluster management and workload coordination systems and tools to manage the HPC cluster in the payload system
• Implement and test highly optimized GPU-aware containerized image processing workloads on the cluster
• Contribute to and integrate with cFS-based bus flight software
• Guide and coordinate firmware development work to ensure hardware and firmware designs mesh together to implement required system functions
• Collaborate with the Principal Ground Software Engineer and vehicle and ground System Engineers to develop complete, holistic solutions to meet mission requirements
• Work with Security, Export Compliance, and DevOps/Platform engineering to ensure updates can be deployed and maintained
• Operate in a lean start-up environment, balancing today’s needs with future enhancements
