Sidus Space in Cape Canaveral, Florida, seeks a Thermal Engineer to lead thermal analysis, modeling, and verification for spacecraft electronics and assemblies to ensure reliability in harsh space environments.

You will develop thermal architectures, drive design trades, and support environmental tests, while collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and systems teams on multi-disciplinary space programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of spacecraft thermal analysis or related space-system thermal engineering.
• Proficiency with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ESATAN or similar tools.
• Experience with high-density electronics and thermal management for space.
• CAD familiarity with SolidWorks or similar software; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed thermal analyses of electronics and spacecraft hardware.
• Develop and maintain thermal models to support design trades.
• Identify thermal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Plan and support thermal vacuum testing and environmental qualification.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and systems teams on thermal integration.
• Generate technical reports and presentations for design reviews.
• Provide thermal expertise during build, integration and test phases.
