Job summary

InnoForge, an early-stage space technology company in Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Integration & Test Engineer. This hands-on role leads hardware assembly, integration, verification, and qualification across mechanical, electrical, avionics, and software systems to ensure flight readiness.

You will develop integration plans and test procedures, perform environmental tests like TVAC and vibration, review drawings, and maintain traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in aerospace engineering with complex hardware.
• Experience with spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle, or flight hardware integration.
• Hands-on hardware assembly, integration, testing, manufacturing, or production.
• Experience developing and executing integration plans or test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly, integration, and test activities for spacecraft, payloads, mechanisms, avionics, and associated hardware.
• Develop integration plans, assembly procedures, work instructions, and detailed test documentation.
• Plan and execute mechanical and electrical integration activities, ensuring subsystem compatibility.
• Develop and execute functional, qualification, acceptance, and environmental test procedures.
• Support environmental testing, including TVAC, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC.
• Work directly with flight hardware, test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-level integration issues.
• Lead or support failure investigations, root-cause analysis, nonconformance resolution, and corrective actions.
• Review engineering drawings, CAD models, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documentation.
