Boeing ESG in Seal Beach, CA is seeking a Lead Fault & Autonomy Engineer to lead fault and autonomy architecture development for first-of-kind space vehicles. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and act as a core customer focal point while turning ConOps into executable solutions.

An ideal candidate has deep spacecraft subsystem knowledge (ACS/GNC, flight software, spacecraft operations), strong systems background, and the ability to guide projects in a fast-paced

Competenze

  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Mansioni

  • Support technology integration for first-of-kind space vehicles and missions.
  • Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership.
  • Work proactively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Ensure system hardware designs have adequate redundancy for fault tolerance.
  • Develop autonomy aligned with customer risk tolerance amid anomalies.
  • Analyze system failure modes (FMECA or fault tree analysis).
  • Develop software requirements for onboard fault protection to detect and isolate failures.
  • Design autonomy or ground procedures to recover from failures.
  • Provide occasional on-call support for system anomalies.
