Job summary

Sierra Space seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to lead and drive advanced system solutions across the product lifecycle. You will align cross-functional teams, decompose requirements, traceability, and ensure a cohesive system through V&V activities, while promoting Systems Engineering principles and mentoring others.

You will plan multidisciplinary development initiatives, resolve conflicting requirements, and define system concepts of operation, architecture, and verification strategies,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Master+13 years preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of related experience.
• Ability to drive multidisciplinary system development initiatives.
• Advanced expertise in Systems Engineering lifecycle and architecture.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and drive multidisciplinary system development initiatives and architect comprehensive systems integrating subsystems.
• Resolve conflicting system requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Lead development milestone reviews, oversee system integration and verification activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks and contribute to corporate Systems Engineering policy and processes.
