Job summary

Sierra Space seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary system development from concept to validation. You will align stakeholders, drive architectures, and ensure traceability across the product lifecycle.

You will mentor teams, champion systems engineering principles, manage risks, and contribute to corporate policy while collaborating with cross‑functional experts to deliver cohesive, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 15+ years of related experience.
• Advanced expertise in systems engineering across lifecycle.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
• Experience with requirements management, architecture, and V&V.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary system development initiatives.
• Architect comprehensive systems integrating multiple subsystems.
• Plan development milestone reviews and oversee integration and V&V.
• Mentor and develop systems engineering skills in others.
• Define and document system concepts of operation.
