Job summary

NUVIEW is seeking a Mechanical / Optomechanical Design Engineer in Orlando, FL to lead the mechanical development of a space-based LiDAR system. Candidates should possess at least 7 years of relevant experience and expertise in CAD tools. Responsibilities include designing mechanical components, performing mechanical analysis, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of optomechanical design and strong communication skills. This is a full-time onsite role in Orlando.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in mechanical design roles, or 5 years with M.S./Ph.D.
• Experience in mechanical and optomechanical design for space applications.
• Strong understanding of FEM and thermal deformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through deployment.
• Use CAD tools for mechanical components design.
• Perform mechanical analysis including FEM and vibration.
