Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for our Space Manufacturing team. You will own manufacturing development for PCBAs, box-level assemblies, and sensor packages to meet space-grade workmanship standards.

You will lead processes for navigation, radar, communications, and power systems, interfacing with suppliers and internal partners. Expect travel up to 25% and mentorship of engineers and technicians across avionics and sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related engineering field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, space, defense or high-reliability industries.
• Deep knowledge of high-reliability electronics workmanship standards: IPC‑610/620 Class 3, IPC J‑STD‑001 Space Addendum, NASA‑STD‑8739 series.
• Expert understanding of PCBA processes (SMT, through‑hole, conformal coating, potting, screening) and box-level assembly.
• Hands‑on depth in at least two: electro‑optical or infrared sensor assembly; RF or radar assembly; navigation units; power distribution and harness manufacture.
• Experience reducing production test burden via design or SPC methods.
• Experience as manufacturing tech interface to internal/external partners for capability/workmanship improvements.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Own PCBAs and box-level electronic assemblies to space-grade workmanship standards (IPC-610/620 Class 3, NASA-STD-8739).
• Own sensor packages including optical alignment and contamination control.
• Own navigation and radar assembly processes (GPS/IMU, radar front ends).
• Own communications assemblies across UHF–EHF bands and flight instrumentation.
• Own power systems and harnessing to IPC-620 and NASA-STD-8739.4.
• Interface with internal sensor partners and external vendors for manufacturability improvements.
• Drive DFMA and use statistical process control to reduce test burden.
• Specify tooling and perform root cause analysis, PFMEA, and first article inspection.
• Act as owner of Anduril's Manufacturing Development Process (MDP) using Foundry/Teamcenter.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in avionics, sensors, power systems and harnesses.
