Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks a Lead Spa Host to lead and coordinate the Spa Host team, delivering exceptional luxury guest experiences across the spa, salon, lounges, and related areas. The role acts as the on-shift resource for Spa Hosts, providing guidance, coaching, and operational support, while helping onboard new team members and scheduling daily priorities.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in luxury spa or hospitality, experience in a lead or trainer role, and familiarity

• Lead or trainer role preferred.
• Experience with spa scheduling and reservation systems.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Spa Host team to ensure exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
• Serve as the primary on-shift resource for Spa Hosts by providing guidance, support and direction.
• Support onboarding and training of new Spa Hosts and assist with ongoing team development.
• Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings to communicate VIP arrivals, events, bookings and priorities.
• Assist with assigning daily responsibilities, break schedules and coverage.
• Address guest concerns promptly and support service recovery when needed.
• Coordinate guest reception, appointment scheduling, treatment scheduling support, and group bookings.
• Partner with Spa Attendants, Service Providers, Salon Team Members and leadership for seamless services.
• Assist with coordinating VIP visits, group experiences and special events.
• Participate in departmental meetings, trainings and continuous improvement initiatives.

THE JOB:

The Lead Spa Host is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the Spa Host team while delivering an exceptional luxury guest experience throughout the spa and salon. This role serves as the primary on-shift resource for Spa Hosts, providing guidance, coaching, and operational support to ensure seamless service delivery, efficient operations, and adherence to spa standards.

The Lead Spa Host champions guest satisfaction by creating welcoming and personalized experiences, facilitating daily operations, supporting team development, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism throughout the spa, salon, relaxation lounges, conservatory, pool balcony, and other guest-facing areas.

THE STARTING RATE: $16.50

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Spa Host team to ensure exceptional guest service and operational excellence
• Serve as the primary resource for Spa Hosts during assigned shifts by providing guidance, support, and direction
• Support the onboarding and training of new Spa Hosts and assist with ongoing team development
• Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings to communicate business needs, VIP arrivals, special events, group bookings, and operational priorities
• Assist with assigning daily responsibilities, coordinating break schedules, and ensuring adequate coverage throughout the operation
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally while supporting service recovery efforts when necessary
• Facilitate the daily flow of guest reception, appointment coordination, treatment scheduling support, and group bookings
• Partner with Spa Attendants, Service Providers, Salon Team Members, and leadership to ensure seamless communication and execution of services
• Assist with coordinating VIP visits, group experiences, and special events
• Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and continuous improvement initiatives

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in a luxury spa, salon, hospitality, resort, or guest service environment
• Previous experience preferred serving in a lead, or trainer role
• Experience with spa scheduling and reservation systems
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
