Job summary

bartaco is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team and translate bartaco’s vibrant dining experience into every plate. You will coach, mentor, and direct culinary staff while ensuring all recipes, presentations, and quality meet our standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a focus on teamwork, and the flexibility to work busy evenings and weekends. With 1–3 years in culinary management and a preference for a culinary arts degree, you will help drive operational excellence, cost

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of culinary management experience.
• Culinary arts degree preferred, but not required.
• Excellent cooking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership, coaching, development, and direction to the culinary team.
• Ensure recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet bartaco specifications and quality.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service flows.
• Lead by example during shifts, setting hospitality, energy, and attentiveness.
• Mentor kitchen staff, enforcing recipes, portions, and standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment following sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in ordering, inventory, food cost management, and line checks.
• Support events and catering as needed.
