Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Sous Chef positions at Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, MS. The role offers a 5:30 am to 2:00 pm schedule with rotating weekends and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in a kitchen or food service.
• Experience handling inventory and placing orders to maintain stock levels.
• Experience with food-service purchasing and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service staff, including scheduling, payroll, and training.
• Stores food according to safety procedures and maintains sanitation standards.
• Ensures proper food handling, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Keeps equipment and workspace clean and organized during and after service.
• Interacts with customers to respond to inquiries and relay information to supervisor.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries, reporting shortages when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
