Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Solution Design Project Engineer to lead design teams and manage large-scale material handling solutions. You will oversee engineering efforts, prepare system cost estimates, and coordinate with internal and external partners to meet DOO requirements and project milestones.

The role requires 5+ years in material handling or warehouse automation, strong leadership, and experience with PLC/controls architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in material handling, warehouse automation, controls, or complex systems engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and interpreting customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and develop executable material handling concepts.
• Direct 3D modeling and proposal drawings to achieve concept freeze.
• Generate cost estimates, technical proposals, and system descriptions.
• Identify controls architectures and define interfaces between machine, software, and host systems.
• Lead technical and pricing reviews; manage project budgets and risk mitigation.
