Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing is seeking an Operator to manage electromechanical equipment and lead a wave soldering cell. The role emphasizes maintaining high quality, adhering to schedules, and mentoring team members in production settings.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and ~2 years’ experience with electromechanical or CNC equipment; IPC‑610 standards knowledge is a plus. On‑site work in Batavia, OH with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience with electromechanical or CNC equipment.
• Experience with soldering processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cell by example; maintain positive attitude and attendance.
• Review and update production schedules daily; prioritize assemblies.
• Verify order quantities and ensure batch completion in one run.
• Program machines for soldering per IPC‑A‑610 standards.
• Ensure second shift start times are correctly programmed.
• Monitor output; report status and forecast cell performance.
• Coordinate with cell leaders to meet on‑time delivery goals.
• Plan staffing needs with Production Manager for wave solder workflow.
• Train and develop cell employees to improve skills.
• Improve quality in solder processes; report issues to QA/Production.
• Perform routine maintenance on ERSA and wave solder equipment.
