Job summary

Quality Electrodynamics, LLC in Mayfield Village, OH, is seeking an Automation Operator for SMT to join our manufacturing team. You will set up production equipment, operate automated machines, perform QC inspections and train coworkers on assemblies you know well.

You should have a high school diploma and hands-on experience with electronics or mechanical assembly, plus familiarity with automated test equipment and soldering as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Hands-on experience with electronics or mechanical assembly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and machinery.
• Monitor machine performance and correct issues during assembly.
• Prepare, change, and replace consumables and parts.
• Read and interpret bills of material for capacitors and components.
• Perform assemblies per procedures and standards.
• Communicate with auditors as needed.
• Contribute to teamwork to improve product flow and reduce scrap.
• Support quality and efficiency initiatives.
• Document errors via NCRs and QFs.
• Perform QC inspections per procedures and standards.
• Review instructions and records for GDP accuracy.
• Set up inspection processes and review assemblies.
• Follow safety and ESD guidelines.
• Keep workbench and area organized and clean.
• Train coworkers on assemblies you’re trained in.
• Demonstrate proficiency at multiple workstations.
• Perform rework per standard procedures.
• Conduct basic assembly troubleshooting.
