Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Master Technician to perform safe, productive repairs and maintenance of commercial and utility-scale solar PV plants. You will execute preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production while upholding safety and compliance standards.

This role covers maintenance on solar modules, strings, trackers, and inverters across diverse sites, with on-call duties and travel as needed to support outages and outages.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency with power tools for repair tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel.
• Experience working under OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E/70B.
• OSHA 10 General Industry certification.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Willingness to learn the NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices.
• DC and AC testing including polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections.
• Maintain a schedule for routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of equipment at solar photovoltaic facilities including trackers, inverters, transformers, and disconnects.
