Job summary

Sunrun is hiring a Lead Solar Installer to help launch our St. Louis branch, with initial pre-launch work in Chicago. You will gain leadership experience and later run installation crews from St.

Louis when doors open in 2027. The Power+ program supports cross-training across solar, battery, and service operations to build long-term career security. Travel is required, with paid travel time, lodging and per diem provided during the Chicago pre-launch phase.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous solar installation experience required; construction or military experience may be considered.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license; 21+ with ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew through safe, efficient solar installations and provide technical guidance.
• Review inventory at loading dock and ensure trucks are stocked for jobs.
• Assemble solar modules, mounts, electrical equipment and tools per project plan.
• Apply weather sealing and ensure a clean, safe job site at all times.
• Lead training on new products, installation methods and safety.
• Support solar battery installations and may serve as acting Foreperson when needed.
