Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a seasoned Solar Technician for AES CE, based in the Lancaster, CA area. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations to keep PV assets running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 2-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications, 3+ years PV O&M experience, and strong teamwork, safety, and communication skills. Travel to sites, shift work, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) are offered.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree or equivalent journeyman qualifications.
• 3+ years PV O&M solar technician experience.
• 5+ years in power plant experience with 1+ year PV O&M or construction.
• Proficient in electrical measurements, control circuits and safety standards.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive and emergency maintenance on EPC inverters, batteries, DAS, and related equipment.
• Operate safely, adhering to environmental and safety requirements.
• Work independently or in crews; travel to sites as needed.
