Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Software Engineering Leader to head the Cumulus Linux Release Engineering team in Santa Clara, CA. You will own build infrastructure, packaging, and developer environments to accelerate productivity and deliver with minimal supervision.

Lead a team of engineers, mentor staff, and partner with cross-functional groups to continuously improve build systems, tooling, and processes. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and hands-on technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's in EE/CS/CE or equivalent degree.
• 10+ years in Software Configuration Management, Tools administration or related areas.
• 4+ years leading Software Tools/Release Engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of build automation, CM and CI systems (Jenkins, GNU Make, Jira, Git).
• Strong Linux knowledge: system boot, kernel modules, package management.
• Proficient in Python and Perl; MySQL familiarity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a global, dynamic environment.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve infrastructure services supporting automated builds.
• Maintain and enhance Debian-based build environment, Makefiles, scripts, repos.
• Execute code scans and publish actionable results.
• Develop Python-based tooling to boost productivity across teams.
• Build, operate, and evolve CI pipelines across components.
• Scale infrastructure to meet growing R&D needs.
• Collaborate with IT and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions.
