Job summary

Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive software development and technical leadership across web, simulation, and integration projects. You will design, implement, and mentor while remaining an active contributor.

You will work with web technologies, C++/C#, unity/unreal engine, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with senior/technical leadership.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, OO design, debugging, testing, and source control.
• Experience designing and developing modern web applications (front-end, back-end, APIs, databases).
• Proficiency in C#, C++, or Java and ability to mentor engineers.
• Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases quickly and adapt to new languages/frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software across multiple platforms with emphasis on web development.
• Lead technical efforts from requirements through delivery and mentoring of engineers.
• Translate requirements into architectures, designs, and tasks; participate in code reviews.
• Coordinate development activities, drive workstreams, and manage priorities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure integration with external systems and hardware.
