Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our in-person team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will lead software development teams to analyze user requirements, derive design and performance specifications, and oversee software modifications to meet those requirements.

The role requires TS/SCI with Full Poly clearance, experience in C++, Java, and Python, and a track record of advancing software development processes.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Full Poly clearance required.
• Design, develop, and modify software in languages such as C++, Java, and Python to implement algorithms and improve system performance.
• Analyze user and system requirements, investigate problem areas, and develop solutions considering system flows, data usage, and performance standards.
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work aligns with the software development process.
• Debug and correct software defects, adapt software to new hardware or environments, and oversee integration of major components.
• Develop and execute test procedures, implement database interfaces, and approve software and system documentation.
• Support process improvement by implementing new documentation and development standards, and serve as a team leader.
