We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative software solutions and guiding a team of talented engineers. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and a passion for technology. The primary technology stack for this position includes Golang, Microservices, ReactJS, DynamoDB, Postgres, REST API development, AWS, and Terraform.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
• Design, develop, and deploy software applications using Golang, Microservices, ReactJS, DynamoDB, Postgres, REST API development, AWS managed services, and Terraform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver robust software solutions
• Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance the development process
• Monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of software applications
• Manage project timelines, and resources effectively

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in a software engineering leadership role
• 8+ years of experience/proficiency in Golang or other related tools such as Java, C#, Microservices, ReactJS, DynamoDB, Postgres, REST API development, AWS managed services, and Terraform
• 5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
• 5+ years of experience working fast-paced and dynamic environments
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with other programming languages and technologies
• Proven knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Experience with cloud-native application development

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
