Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team in Corporate Technology. You will contribute as a core technical team member, delivering secure, scalable technology products for the firm’s business functions.

You will drive design reviews, engineering excellence, and incident leadership while collaborating across multiple domains to ensure reliability and strong security postures for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in modern programming languages (Python, Java/Spring Boot).
• Strong knowledge of reliability, scalability, performance, security, and enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and advanced technical troubleshooting.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and automate remediation of recurring issues.
• Lead resiliency design reviews and act as main contact during major incidents.
• Improve reliability, stability, and performance using data-driven analytics.
• Define service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets with stakeholders.
• Provide high-level technical expertise across one or more domains and remove bottlenecks.
• Document and share knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice.
