Job summary

Ithaka S+R is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to design, build, and operate internal platforms and backend services that improve developer experience and software delivery. You will lead on CI/CD, automation, and user-facing tools while partnering with engineering teams to shape platform roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack experience building large-scale distributed web apps.
• Experience with scalable backend services, modern frontend frameworks, CI/CD, and dev platforms.
• Proficiency with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-team mentoring skills.

Job description

Partner with engineering teams, mentor colleagues, shape platform roadmaps, and share responsibility for production reliability, security, support, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Requires at least 8 years of full-stack engineering experience delivering large-scale distributed web applications, with experience in scalable backend services, modern frontend frameworks, CI/CD, developer platforms, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Candidates should also bring event-driven architecture experience, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor engineers.
