True Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a senior platform/backend engineer to own the document processing platform in our SF Bay Area office. You will partner with ML engineers to keep workloads fast, reliable, and cost-efficient, building scalable infrastructure and production pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years in platform or backend engineering, with expertise in Python or Go/Rust and strong cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of platform or backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, or strong Go or Rust with willingness to work in Python.
• Experience building and scaling core infrastructure, task orchestration, and reliable platforms.
• Application-level engineering experience in addition to infrastructure work, plus on-call experience.
• Background in a startup or fast-moving environment with scale.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and model-serving optimization is valuable.

About the Role

Join a platform team at an AI/ML startup, helping build and strengthen the systems behind document processing. You will partner with ML engineers to make customer workloads fast, reliable, and cost efficient.

What You’ll Do

• Own and improve the platform that runs document processing workloads, with a focus on speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Work with ML teams to serve in-house models efficiently and integrate them into production pipelines.

• Build and maintain infrastructure for databases, task orchestration, workload scheduling, and cloud deployments.

• Improve distributed systems as workload volume grows, addressing latency, reliability, and scaling challenges.

• Join an on-call rotation and take end-to-end ownership of platform health.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of platform or backend engineering experience, including work on distributed systems.

• Python proficiency, or deep Go or Rust expertise and willingness to work in Python.

• Experience building and scaling core infrastructure, task orchestration, and reliable platforms.

• Application-level engineering experience in addition to infrastructure work, as well as on-call experience.

• Background in a startup or other fast-moving environment, with experience supporting systems at scale.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and model-serving optimization is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $220,000 to $320,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
