Job summary

CoStar Group, a global leader in real estate information and marketplaces, seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of high-visibility web applications such as LoopNet. The role is based in Irvine, CA, with four days onsite and one day remote, offering a base salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will design, implement, and maintain scalable software across the product platform, leveraging C#/.NET, TypeScript frameworks, and modern AWS services, while mentoring teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• 9+ years of production development with C# .Net or .Net Core.
• Experience with Vue, React or Angular in TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, Dynamo, ElastiCache) and Kafka.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or equivalent).
• Ability to design, develop and maintain scalable web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop using Object Oriented design principles and patterns.
• Write unit-testable software in C#.
• Understand product architecture and frameworks.
• Maintain and contribute to the product platform.
• Develop SQL scripts/ETL jobs per database standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across teams to share ideas and improvements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen the platform.
