Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for Google Meet Infrastructure. The role blends technical leadership with people management, guiding multiple teams across locations and budgets to deliver scalable Meet infrastructure and related products.

You will drive project goals, influence product strategy, and grow engineers under your supervision. You will oversee deployment of large-scale projects, collaborate with model builders and leaders across Google, and impact billions of users

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of software development experience.
3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or compute/storage/hardware.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
2 years of experience in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

Set and communicate team priorities that support broader organizational goals.
Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role; provide feedback and coaching.
Develop mid-term technical goals and roadmap across multiple teams; evolve roadmaps for future infra needs.
Design, guide and vet systems designs within broader scope; write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
