Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks a Lead Software Engineer within Asset Management Technology to design and deliver secure, scalable platforms powering CMAS and SMA investments. You will lead end-to-end components, collaborate with Product and Operations, and raise engineering standards across teams.

You will drive architecture, build microservices, manage data pipelines, ensure production readiness, and reinforce security and governance throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture
• Hands-on experience delivering platform design and operations
• Advanced in Java and Python
• Experience guiding AI-assisted development tools with validation for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy Java-based microservices and REST APIs; lead delivery across services
• Build and evolve data pipelines and curated datasets for trading and reporting; ensure lineage and controls
• Own production readiness, observability, resiliency, incident response and RCA improvements
• Embed security and IT controls into design; raise standards for reviews, testing, and release governance
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business outcomes into technical delivery plans
• Foster inclusion and high engineering standards through design reviews and leadership
• Model safe use of enterprise AI tools and establish validation standards across the team
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed
