Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Orlando to lead architecture and development of one or more CSCIs and a full-motion flight simulator for the VL60 aircraft. You will supervise a team of software engineers, drive design decisions, and ensure on-time delivery.

This contract-to-hire role requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field and 7–13 years of experience, with strong C/C++, Windows (60%) and Linux (40%), AGILE/SCRUM, and Bitbucket CM.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field.
7-13 years of software engineering experience including team leadership and SDLC.
Experience with C/C++ and simulation development.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 6-10 software engineers, manage execution and delivery for simulator and IOS functionality.
Oversee design, implementation, and modification of CSCIs.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure schedule adherence.
Lead design and code reviews and ensure standards are followed.
Provide status updates and estimates to the PM.
Integrate flight module into the simulator and meet requirements.
Validate software performance and functionality.
Coordinate with external contractors on software execution.
Train and onboard team members.
