Job summary

Bankjoy is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical direction for our kids and family financial empowerment product. This hands-on leadership role owns the architecture, leads a small engineering team, and works with Product, Design and QA to build a secure, scalable product.

The ideal candidate has banking/payments domain experience, strong Angular/TypeScript and C#, .NET Core skills, and some mobile exposure. Eastern Time Zone hours apply.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering in a startup environment.
• Domain experience in banking, payments, or financial wellness.
• Strong backend with C#, .NET Core and SQL Server; frontend with Angular/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and architecture for Bankjoy's kids and family product.
• Lead solution design, quarterly planning, and architecture decisions.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data privacy in financial systems.
• Provide code reviews and maintain engineering best practices.
• Contribute to coding, testing, and delivery with hands-on leadership.
