Job summary

Nuna is building an AI health coach that shows up like a person who actually has time. You will own meaningful pieces of the product from day one and be responsible for building, shipping, and supporting them in production.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will design and implement core systems, guide a small team, and collaborate with product, design, and clinicians to deliver value while upholding patient privacy and data security as a priority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field is required.
• 6+ years of industry experience and leadership of small engineering teams.
• Ability to own a feature or system end-to-end including backend services and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful features and services end to end — design, build, ship, and operate them in production
• Lead and mentor small teams of engineers
• Drive stakeholder alignment between product, design, data and engineering
• Make architecture decisions in AI/agent and product systems
• Write high-quality, well-tested, observable code and conduct reviews
• Treat privacy and security of health data as a core responsibility
• Break ambiguous product problems into shippable work and trade-offs to deliver
