Job summary

Nuna is building an AI health coach to help patients and families. We are seeking a software engineer to own meaningful parts of the product from day one, shipping and supporting them in production.

You will work on the AI and agent logic, the services behind it, and the data it depends on, with autonomy and collaboration across teams. You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, write high-quality code, and uphold privacy and security standards while operating in a fast-moving, early-stage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or similar required.
• Ability to own a feature or system end to end—backend services, APIs and integration.
• Experience operating what you build: testing, deployment, and observability.
• Comfort with ambiguity within your domain and shipping solutions.
• Clear communication across product, design, and engineering.
• Interest in improving healthcare with an interdisciplinary team.
• Willing to work from our San Francisco office a minimum of 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own features and services end to end—design, build, ship, operate in production.
• Contribute to architecture decisions including AI/agent and core product systems.
• Write high-quality, well-tested, observable code and mentor others.
• Prioritize privacy and secure handling of health data.
• Turn ambiguous problems into shippable work with pragmatic trade-offs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and Data teams to translate requirements into software.
