Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial and Investment Bank Technologies - Securitized Products Data Platform team to drive design, development, and delivery of trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a core technical contributor you will lead projects across multiple stacks, mentor engineers, and help advance architecture while building production-grade code and ensuring operational stability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years applied experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Perl.
• Experience leading projects across AWS, databases, and ETL layers.
• Strong knowledge in cloud, AI/ML, or related technical disciplines.
• Ability to tackle design problems independently with minimal oversight.
• Business knowledge in Securitized Products (Mortgages, CMO's, ABS).
• Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to improve stability and automate remediation.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams on architecture.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies.
