Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with strong cloud-native expertise in Java and Spring Boot to build scalable, distributed systems. Prior rail industry exposure is advantageous but not required, with a focus on platform engineering, dispatch automation, and modern architectures.

You will design microservices, leverage Kafka for messaging, and deploy in Kubernetes environments. Some full-stack work with Angular is welcomed, alongside CI/CD and test automation to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java and Spring Boot development for scalable enterprise apps.
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time messaging and system integration.
• Cloud-native deployments using Kubernetes and containerization, DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Angular for full-stack development and UI work is a plus.
• Experience with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native, distributed applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices and event-driven architectures with Kafka.
