Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Columbus, OH to join the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team. You will architect, build, and deploy secure, scalable software solutions across multi-functional teams in a cloud-first environment.

You will drive DevOps practices, AI-assisted tooling adoption, and automated testing while mentoring engineers and shaping best practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language: Java, Python, or Go.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Practical cloud native experience.
• Expertise with AWS infrastructure including networking, EC2, Lambda, VPC, and containers.
• Proficient in IaC (Terraform) with hands-on experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leverages DevOps tools to build, deploy, and operate a cloud-based orchestration platform and infrastructure as code.
• Leads design and development of new cloud implementations with end-to-end automation and observability.
• Creates automated functional, performance, resiliency, and end-to-end tests and enforces them in pipelines.
• Provides technical guidance and mentors engineers, leading communities of practice.
