Lead Software Engineer, Back End (Python, AWS)

Overview

What You’ll Do:

1. Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers, focusing on microservices and full-stack systems to meet regulatory requirements.
2. Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in tech communities, mentor peers, and evaluate code.
3. Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that enhance user experience for millions of Americans.
4. Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, along with AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• 7+ years in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
• 2+ years experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• 4+ years in open source frameworks
• 1+ years in people management
• 2+ years in Agile practices
