Job summary

Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to rearchitect its Banking as a Service platform for the future using cloud-native techniques. You will build the next generation banking and payments platform and advance CI/CD, cloud migration, and test-driven development practices.

You will design scalable distributed solutions, work on complex API integration projects, and document flows with diagrams.

Qualifications

• Requirements include: strong C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Cloud-native development in Azure or AWS.
• APIs and web services design with REST, OAuth2, OpenAPI, SOAP/XML.
• Microservices architecture and event-driven patterns.
• DevOps and delivery with GitHub, CI/CD, pipelines, and blue-green deployments.
• Observability using dashboards (Datadog, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Lead API and microservices design for BaaS onboarding and partner integration.
• Collaborate with product/architecture teams to define technical requirements.
• Mentor team members and enforce CI/CD, testing, and observability best practices.
• Ensure SLA compliance and contribute to monitoring and alerting systems.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Drive long-term technical strategy and document architectural decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for adoption and refactor code for flexibility.
