Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for full remote work in the United States. You will provide technical leadership across the core subsystems of our simulation software platform and guide architectural decisions while championing modern engineering practices.

You will lead the delivery of complex features, safeguard the long-term health of the codebase, and operate with significant autonomy as a trusted expert in your domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in desktop software development.
• MODFLOW, MT3D or related contamination transport modeling.
• Proficiency in modern C (C14 or later).
• Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI development.
• Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
