Job summary

United Future is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across the core subsystems for its simulation software platform, guiding architecture and delivering complex features.

You will work with autonomy, mentor teammates, and ensure long-term code health while developing Windows desktop applications with Visual Studio, MFC, and modern C++. Remote work available full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in desktop software development.
• MODFLOW, MT3D or related contamination transport modeling
• Proficiency in modern C (C 14 or later).
• Experience developing Windows applications with Visual Studio (2019 or later).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) for Windows UI development.
• Experience with object serialization and structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
