About the Role

Our client is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused primarily on greenfield, net-new development.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to take on greater technical responsibility while remaining hands‑on. The role will involve providing technical guidance to other engineers, contributing to architecture and design decisions, mentoring team members and acting as a technical resource within the team.

This is a technical leadership position rather than a people-management role, with no direct reports.

The client values strong engineering fundamentals, problem‑solving ability and adaptability. Exact technology alignment is less important than a strong technical foundation and the ability to learn and work effectively across the stack.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop and deliver enterprise‑grade software applications
  • Work primarily on new, greenfield development rather than legacy application maintenance
  • Take ownership of significant features and applications
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
  • Act as a technical resource and go‑to person within the team
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
  • Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions
  • Help solve complex engineering problems
  • Participate in peer design discussions and collaborative development
  • Work closely with other engineers through pair programming and knowledge sharing
  • Work directly with non‑technical business stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Support deployment and infrastructure‑related troubleshooting when required
  • Work within CI/CD and modern cloud‑based development environments
  • Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement
  • Use AI‑assisted development tools where appropriate
What We're Looking For
  • Approximately 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with C# / .NET
  • Experience with React or Angular
  • Experience with Azure, with AWS or GCP also considered
  • Full‑stack development experience, with the ability to contribute across frontend and backend
