Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Developer to support a critical software development project for our government client. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in software development and technical leadership within DOD/Federal environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements & Analysis: Develop system requirements, conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), and identify capability gaps.
2. Software Engineering: Lead software development, maintenance, documentation, and ensure compliance with DOD security standards such as RMF.
3. Cloud Support: Design and implement secure cloud solutions aligned with DOD requirements.
4. Technical Leadership: Lead delivery teams, supervise personnel, and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
5. Security & Risk Management: Incorporate cybersecurity practices throughout the development lifecycle, manage vulnerabilities, conduct threat modeling, and enforce secure coding.
6. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation, process enhancements, and security posture improvements aligned with DoD strategic goals.

Location: This is a remote position with occasional travel to Philadelphia, PA.

Requirements

• Active DOD Secret Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• IAT III certification (e.g., CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP).
• Minimum 15 years of experience leading and directing technical and operational projects, including defining software requirements and specifications.
• At least 5 years of experience in software management or development.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with developer environments such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and NetBeans.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and team leadership.
