Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer to drive architecture, design, and modernization of mission-critical platforms in the Cyber & Intelligence organization.

You will act as hands-on developer and architect, leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and delivering secure, scalable solutions across global teams. Strong cloud, microservices, and secure coding expertise are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced expertise in software engineering, distributed systems, OO design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and distributed system design.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale applications and services.
• Cloud platforms experience including IaaS/PaaS/serverless and containerization.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, DevOps, and IaC.
• Advanced knowledge of secure coding practices and software risk mitigation.
• Experience designing automated testing frameworks and integration testing strategies.
• Strong observability, monitoring, and operational readiness understanding.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across layers.
• Experience building highly available and resilient systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Mentoring and technical leadership capabilities.
• Passion for continuous learning and engineering excellence.

Responsabilidades

• Drive architectural design of software solutions and governance practices.
• Design scalable, resilient platforms meeting performance and security requirements.
• Lead tech decision-making and architecture reviews across teams.
• Hands-on development of secure, modular, maintainable code.
• Develop and deploy technologies to optimize products and enable new opportunities.
• Roadmap development focused on modernization, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Oversee full lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing and support.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies and test automation.
• Promote Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development practices.
• Lead code reviews and enforce engineering standards for quality and security.
• Embed secure SDLC practices including threat modeling and secure coding.
