OpticsPlanet is seeking a Software Team Architect to lead the engineering team, set technical strategy, and design scalable software systems. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, and ensure architecture alignment with business goals.

The role focuses on C#/.NET, system scalability, performance optimization, and collaboration with product owners and DevOps. This onsite position is based in Northbrook, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years C# development experience; MS SQL and VBA a plus.
• Open source code or example projects preferred.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Stash.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and maintenance of project architecture.
• Mentor and develop team members; ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product owners, DevOps, and cross‑functional teams.
• Translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
