Job summary

Met Council in New York seeks a Social Care Network Lead/Warehouse Worker to support our food warehouse operations and social care initiatives. You will split time between general warehouse duties and Social Care Network packing, leading a small team and ensuring accurate counts and proper palletization.

You will handle ordering, inventory, and coordination with the Special Projects Coordinator, while also assisting drivers, loading, and unloading.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Able to operate electric jacks and forklift.
• Comfortable data entry on tablet or smartphone.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

• Lead Social Care Network pantry packing on the floor.
• Receive and check incoming orders for quantity and quality.
• Repack and inventory Social Care Network supplies.
• Maintain packing supplies inventory and report low stock.
• Oversee weekly packing day with SPC.
• Load and unload trucks and assist drivers.
• Operate forklift and document counts with tablet.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Work independently and in a team.
