Job summary

Chelsea Piers is seeking an energetic soccer coach to lead youth sports events and birthday parties at the Chelsea Piers Field House in New York. The role focuses on running soccer activities for children aged 2–13, with opportunities to coach in other sports and assist with event logistics.

Candidates should be punctual, outgoing, and customer-service oriented, with at least two years coaching or teaching children.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum of experience coaching/instructing/working with children aged 2–13.
• Soccer coaching experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain energy and positivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate sports activities for kids, teens, and adults during weekend birthday parties and events.
• Lead soccer-based party activities, including scrimmages, skill drills, and age-appropriate games.
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment at all times alongside lead and junior staff.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to guests and staff.
• Additional weekday and weekend shifts for classes and youth & adult events are available.

Candidates should be passionate about working with children, have athletic experience and ability, and possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and facilitate sports activities for kids, teens, and adults during weekend birthday parties and eventsLead soccer-based party activities, including scrimmages, skill drills, and games suited to varying agesMaintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment at all times, alongside lead and junior staffDemonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to guests and staffRemain positive and calm during eventsAdditional weekday & weekend shifts for classes and youth & adult events will be availableThese responsibilities are not comprehensive and can change at any time at the supervisor's discretion.About You:You are punctual, dependable, and energetic. You have experience working with children ages 2-13 and love soccer.Ability to work at least five weekend days a month.A minimum of two years of experience coaching/instructing/working with children between the ages of 2-13.Experience as a coach in soccer is required; additional experience in basketball, baseball, or flag football is a plus.Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.An outgoing, energetic personality and enjoy working in a team environment.This position is based at Chelsea Piers in New York, New YorkChelsea Piers is an Equal Opportunity Employer
