Job summary

Chelsea Piers is seeking energetic coaches to lead weekend youth birthday parties and sports events at the Chelsea Piers Field House in New York. You should be passionate about working with children, have athletic ability, and strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities include leading gymnastics activities, ensuring a safe, engaging environment, and coordinating with lead staff.

Qualifications

• Punctual, dependable and energetic.
• Experience with children aged 2-13.
• Two years of coaching/instructing/working with children.
• USAG certification is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

• Facilitate activities for kids and teens during weekend birthday parties.
• Lead gymnastics-based party activities, including tumbling, obstacle courses and skill stations.
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment alongside staff.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to guests and staff.
• Remain positive and calm during events.
• Additional weekday & weekend shifts for classes and youth/adult events will be available.

About the Opportunity

The Chelsea Piers Field House is looking for energetic coaches toworkyouth birthday partiesandsports eventson Friday, Saturday & Sunday afternoons. Candidates should be passionate about working with children, have athleticexperience andability, and possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities for kidsand teensduring weekend birthday parties
• Lead gymnastics-based party activities, including tumbling, obstacle courses, and skill stations suited to varying ability levels
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and fun environment at all times, alongside lead and junior staff
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and encouragement to guests and staff
• Remain positive and calm during events
• Additional weekday & weekendshiftsforclasses andyouth & adulteventswill be available

QualificationsAbout You

You are punctual, dependable, and energetic. You have experience working with children ages 2-13 and have a flexible schedule.

• Ability to work at least five weekend days a month.
• A minimum oftwoyearsof experience coaching/instructing/working with children between the ages of 2-13 and/or young adults.
• Experience as a coach or participant in gymnastics (recreational, competitive, or artistic) is required; USAG certification is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• An outgoing, energetic personality and enjoy working in a team environment.
