Lead SoC Architect - Leading Edge-AI Startup - Bay Area - 300k+

The Oho Group have partnered with a leading Stealth Edge-AI startup looking for a Lead SoC Architect with experience of multiple tapeouts alongside expertise in the ARM ecosystsm and cache-coherency to drive next-generation acceleration systems. You will join the team as one of the first hardware hires, playing a central role in technical direction and future company growth.

• Define and own the overall SoC architecture for a complex edge AI device.
• Translate product requirements into detailed architectural specifications.
• Lead integration of key SoC subsystems, including compute, interconnect, memory and high-speed interfaces.
• Balance performance, power and thermal requirements through architectural trade-offs.
• Work closely with an external ASIC design partner to ensure successful implementation.
• Review floorplanning, timing closure and physical implementation to maintain architectural goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience designing complex SoCs.
• Proven track record delivering silicon through successful tapeout.
• Strong understanding of Arm-based SoC architecture.
• Deep knowledge of AMBA protocols..
• Experience writing detailed architecture and design specifications.
• Ability to work across architecture, implementation and external engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges.
