Job summary

A-Core Concrete Specialists in Mesa, AZ is seeking a full-time Lead Small Engine and Equipment Mechanic to join our shop. You will work on a variety of small engines and concrete cutting equipment, performing maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while keeping accurate records and parts orders.

The role requires hands-on experience, own tools, a valid license, and the ability to lift heavy items. Some travel may be needed, including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• 5 years of small engine and equipment repair experience.
• Expertise in small engine mechanics, electrical and fuel systems.
• Own tools to use in the shop.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more on occasion.
• Bilingual Spanish abilities a plus.
• Ability to gain and maintain special clearance for sensitive work sites (military bases & airports).

Responsibilities

• Address day-to-day breakdowns as well as scheduled preventative maintenance for all small engines and equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, power units, generators, and small equipment.
• Travel to field needs as needed (some nights and weekends).
• Maintain a clean work area for safety and efficiency.
• Timely complete work orders with accuracy and detail.
• Research and order parts and maintain inventory to complete work timely.
• Other tasks as assigned.
